Europium sulfate Eu2(SO4)3 – octahydrate, is an important colourant in glass manufacturing and porcelain enamel glazes. High purity Europium Sulfate is applied as dopant in making optical fibre, lasers and amplifiers such as phosphors and halide lamps.
Here you get a mini-ampoule (25mm length + 6mm diameter) with an amount of 0.3 – 0.4 grams Europium sulfate crystals (0.5 – 2mm) – The fluorescense effect is much more intensive compared with Europium oxide but less than the intensity of our Europium glass beads.
Depending on the sort of light you get different colors of the solution and crystals:
- White at normal light
- raspberry red under ultraviolet light (money checker etc.)
