Ce:YAG synthetical gemstone – UV active – 8mm – Y3Al5O12

Made in the EU

Ce:YAG synthetical gemstone – UV active – 8mm diameter–
Ce : YAG – Yttrium Aluminium Granate with 1% Ce3+ , Y3Al5O12:Ce
YAG (gemmologically correct: Granatoid) is a polular gemstone due to its Mohs hardness of 8 to 8.5 and its high dispersion and refractive index (together they make up the so-called fire). Colorless and under the trade names simulated diamond (also Diamonair or Cirolit) it served as a diamond substitute until it was replaced by the more suitable zirconia. Here is the yellow variant, which stands out for its strong yellow luminescence in UV light.
These gemstones are produced in the EU by a well-known manufacturer of laser crystals.

You get ONE crystal!

The optional available 10W power UV lamp with 365nm wavelength is perfectly suited for strong fluorescence of the crystal.
